30th Anniversary Shabbat Celebration Service
A CD of the 30th Anniversary Shabbat Celebration Service held on Friday, March 14th, is now available for purchase for $15.95. Order forms are located in the lobby and the main office. An order form is also available as an attachment for your convenience. CDs can also be purchased in the Judaica Shop.Friday, June 06:
- 8:00 PM – Shabbat Service – During services, please join us in honoring the outgoing and incoming officers and trustees and giving special thank you to Susan Keslensky, our previous Gift Shop Manager. We will also be honoring those who contributed funds to Jewish Education, aesthetic enhancements to our sanctuary and special support to help retire the accrued mortgage debt. We will be dedicating the donor board that names all of the contributors. Please come to this very special Shabbat service.
Shabbat Service, Shabbat Schmooze…
Shabbat is about community. Feel welcome to arrive as early as 7:30 PM for snacks and socializing as we prepare for Shabbat Services.
Saturday, June 07:
- Chevrah Torah at 9:00 AM. – Shabbat Naso - Numbers 4:21-5:10. All are welcome.
- Casual Shabbat in the Chapel at 10:00 AM.
- Shabbat Service in the Sanctuary at 10:00 AM. During services we will celebrate the Bar Mitzvah of Bryan Jamieson.
Shavuot Service and Lunch
- Monday, June 9 at 11:45 AM, Shavuot and Yizkor Service followed by a complimentary family dairy lunch. Please RSVP to 404-395-1340 x 204.
Brotherhood
Brotherhood Golf TournamentThe Brotherhood Golf Tournament will be held Monday, June 16 at Chateau Elan. The cost to play is $125 per golfer. Hole sponsorships are $1,250 and include four playing slots. All proceeds go to support the creation of a Brotherhood Scholarship Fund, which will offer grants and loans to Temple Emanu- El families to help offset the high cost of college. Tee-off is at 1:00 pm. Lunch and dinner will be provided. To register, or for more information, contact Sandy Zusmann at zusmann1@mindspring.com.
Jazzercise at Temple Emanu-El

Special Friday Night Shabbat Service
On June 20 during Friday evening Shabbat service at 8:00PM, we will be calling up to the bimah for blessing all high school teenagers who are going on a summer trip to Israel. Anyone who has recently returned from the spring March of the Living are also invited to participate.Sisterhood

Women's Study Group

It is a Tree of Life…and you can be part of it. Located near the memorial wall, it shines in honor of Simchas and each leaf helps Sisterhood. Order forms for leaves and rocks are available in the main office. Cost per leaf is $118 and rocks are $180.

Caring Committee
Volunteers are needed to help as occasional substitute callers to contact congregants to offer assistance while they are experiencing life cycle events. The Dekalb Rape Center is looking for dedicated volunteers to staff their 24-hour crisis line and serve as hospital companions for rape survivors. The Summer 2008 Training begins on June 10, 2008. They are also looking for RAINN Online Hotline volunteers, and volunteers to be part of the Speakers Bureau, Outreach and Special Events Committees.
