Haven’t made your reservation yet for the 30th Anniversary Gala? Responses are due by March 10th. We look forward to celebrating with everyone at Temple Emanu-El’s 30th Anniversary. Don’t miss this spectacular evening “Dancing With the Stars.”

It has recently come to our attention that due to a systemic error, High Holiday tickets were classified as non-tax deductible. Please note when filing your income tax return, that any separately purchased High Holiday ticket(s) are in fact tax deductible. If you would like a corrected copy of your statement, please call Karen Wolf at ext.232. We apologize for any inconvenience this error may have caused.
 

Friday, February 22:

  • 5:15 PM - Preschool Shabbat Dinner
  • 6:30 PM – Preschool Shabbat Service and Sing-a-long
  • 8:00 PM – Shabbat Service. Rabbi Colbert’s sermon is entitled “Understanding the Hidden Face.”

Shabbat is about community. Feel welcome to arrive as early as 7:30pm for snacks and socializing as we prepare for Shabbat Services.
 

Saturday, February 23:

  • Chevrah Torah at 9:00 AM. – Shabbat Ki Tissa - Exodus 30:11-31:17.  All are welcome.
  • Casual Shabbat Service in the Chapel at 10:00 AM.
  • Shabbat Service in the Sanctuary at 10:00 AM. During Services we will celebrate the Bar Mitzvah of Joshua Wayne.
 

Sunday, February 24:

  • Minyan in the Chapel – 9:15-9:30 AM
  • Religious School/Oneg 8th Grade Teen Program- 9:15 AM
  • Adult Advanced Hebrew Class in Room 133 – 9:30 AM

Rabbi Schwartz’s Adult Education Class “Understanding God from the Perspective of Different Theologians” resumes on Monday, February 25th in the Board Room.
 
Jazzercise at Temple Emanu-El
These 1-hour classes are held on Mondays & Wednesdays in the social hall at 9:00am.  RSVP to Nikkia Wright, Certified Jazzercise Instructor, at jazz4nikkia@comcast.net.  Single class sessions are available at $9/session.  Come prepared to have fun!

Pathways: Bridge to the Home, a Program for Jewish Moms Raising Jewish Children in an Interfaith Family.

This program is designed specifically for the Jewish parent who is from interfaith families or is in an interfaith relationship/marriage and could use support and education in the raising of their Jewish children. Dates are: February 22; March 28; April 25; May 9 and location is the Marcus Jewish Community Center/Zaban park location at 10:00 AM. Total cost is a $36.00 book fee. First Dance Productions of Atlanta

Have you ever wanted to dance like the stars? 
Well now is your chance to sign up for a 4 week dance lesson 1 hour a week.  For your convenience, First Dance Productions of Atlanta will be coming to Temple Emanu-El on Sundays, February 24, March 2, March 9 and March 16 at 11:15 am-12:10 pm. For couples only - lessons cost $120.00 total. Pre registration is required.   Please call Paula Fine for dance registration at 770-475-9233.
