February 14th News

NOTE: The Temple office and the Schiff Pre-School will be closed Monday, February 18th in observance of President’s Day. In addition, there will be no Minyan or Religious School on Sunday, February 17th and Monday, February 18th.
 
Last Call – Deadline for our 30th Anniversary Tribute Book is Friday, February 15th.  For assistance or more information, please call Beverly Brown at 770-395-1340. Don’t be left out, be part of our Temple’s history. Tribute form is available via our website www.te-atl.com.
 

Friday, February 15:

  • 8:00 PM – Shabbat Service. Rabbi Schwartz’s sermon is entitled “Old Dogs, New Tricks”
Shabbat Service...Shabbat Schmooze…Shabbat is about community. Feel welcome to arrive as early as 7:30pm for snacks and socializing as we prepare for Shabbat Services.
 

Saturday, February 16:

  • Chevrah Torah at 9:00 AM. – Exodus 27:20-28:30.  All are welcome.
  • Casual Shabbat Service in the Chapel at 10:00 AM.
  • Shabbat Service in the Sanctuary at 10:00 AM. During Services we will celebrate the B’nai Mitzvah of Justin Franco & Brandon Hirsch.
 

Sunday, February 17:

  • Religious School closed.    

Jazzercise at Temple Emanu-El

These 1-hour classes are held on Mondays & Wednesdays in the social hall at 9:00am.  RSVP to Nikkia Wright, Certified Jazzercise Instructor, at jazz4nikkia@comcast.net.  Single class sessions are available at $9/session.  Come prepared to have fun!

Pathways: Bridge to the Home

Pathways is pleased to announce the creation of a new program based on the input we received from you! Starting Friday, February 22nd from 10 AM - Noon, we will begin a monthly program that is open to Jewish moms who are from interfaith families or are in an interfaith relationship/marriage and could use support and education in the raising of their Jewish children. This is a program similar to The Mother’s Circle, but is designed specifically for the Jewish parent. This program will be held at the Marcus Jewish Community Center/Zaban Park.
