- 7:00 PM – Special activities for children and an adult discussion led by Rabbi Schwartz entitled “The December Dilemma”.
- 8:00 PM - Congregational Chanukah Family Shabbat Service followed by ONEG with Jr. JAM.
Shabbat Service
Shabbat Schmooze…Due to the Family Chanukah Dinner and Family Service, we will not be having Shabbat Schmooze.
Saturday, December 08:
- Chevrah Torah at 9:00 AM – Genesis 41:1-41:52. All are welcome.
- Casual Shabbat Service in the Chapel at 10:00 AM.
Sunday, December 09:
- Minyan – 9:15 AM – 9:30 AM.
- Religious School at 9:15 AM.
- Oneg 8th Grade Teen Program- 9:15 AM.
- Adult Advanced Hebrew Class – 9:30 AM.
- Family B’nai Mitzvah Class #4 – 9:30 AM.
- Chanukah rotation for lower grades/chug performances – 9:30 AM.
- Trop Class – 9:30 AM.

- Adult Advanced Beginners Hebrew Class – 11:15 AM – 12:00 PM.

Prague and Budhapest Trip:
Rabbi Schwartz will be leading a trip to Prague and Budapest. Jackie Granath has arranged for this wonderful Jewish Heritage Tour July 19th -29th 2008There will be an informational meeting on Monday, December 17th at 7:00 PM. Adult Education
Israel put up a fence to keep terrorists out. Why shouldn’t America put up a fence along its Mexican border for the same reason and to keep out illegal immigrants? Is there a difference? Do God and the Torah command us to be responsible for the welfare of everyone in our midst, even if they are not here legally?Rabbi Schwartz will be our teacher as we answer the question: “What does Judaism say about how illegal immigrants and our responsibilities and obligations as Jews?”
That’s the topic of our next Adult Education program in this series, Thursday, December 13th, 7:30-9PM in Social Hall 3, at Temple Emanu-El.
