The team is honoring the memories of Jill Albert, Debbie Sonenshine and Lori Fierman. The meeting will be held in the Brill downstairs at Temple Emanu-El.
This project will extend a hand of friendship to young Jewish families who have recently experienced the birth or adoption of a child. Volunteers will deliver a beautiful gift bag to the new family also passing along wisdom and community resources. All volunteers will attend a brief training and may choose the number and locations of visits. The initial training session is set for Wednesday, February 27 from 7:00-8:00pm at the MJCCA. Friday, March 14 at 8:00 PM – Temple Emanu-El will hold a special 3oth Anniversary Shabbat Service featuring original music composed by special guest, Cantor Robbie Solomon, internationally known composer of Jewish songs and choral works. Cantor Benjamin Adler along with the Temple choir and musicians from our congregation will also participate in this special service.
An evening book club has now formed. The first meeting will be on Thursday, February 21st at 7pm at the Starbucks at Orchard Park in Dunwoody – located at Mt. Vernon & Jett Ferry. Please let us know if you would like to attend or are interested in the club.

Children age 13 and older can participate with their fathers, but you don't have to have a child to be a part of the club. Pathways: Bridge to the Home, a Program for Jewish Moms Raising Jewish Children in an Interfaith Family.
This program is designed specifically for the Jewish parent who is from interfaith families or is in an interfaith relationship/marriage and could use support and education in the raising of their Jewish children. Dates are: February 22; March 28; April 25; May 9 and location is the Marcus Jewish Community Center/Zaban park location at 10:00 AM. Total cost is a $36.00 book fee. “Angels 4 Angels” 3-Day Breast Cancer Walk Informational Meeting
Monday, February 25th at 7:30 PM – This is an informational meeting for “Angels 4 Angels” Breast Cancer 3 Day Walk Team. Debbi Chartash and Melody Maziar want to involve many more people by organizing a team which will raise a minimum of $2200, to help bring awareness to breast cancer, the importance of early detection, and to provide funding for research.The team is honoring the memories of Jill Albert, Debbie Sonenshine and Lori Fierman. Shalom Baby Program
Be the First to Greet the Future of Atlanta’s Jewish Community. Shalom Baby is looking for volunteers who speak with a smile, love our community, and love babies. Temple Emanu-El along with The Jewish Federation of Greater Atlanta, the Marcus Jewish Community Center of Atlanta, and Jewish community organizations have teamed up to launch a new program, Shalom Baby.This project will extend a hand of friendship to young Jewish families who have recently experienced the birth or adoption of a child. Temple Emanu-El Social Action Committee - We need your help! Have you ever wondered where your next meal will come from? Have you thought about how it would feel to sleep in frigid temperatures? People without homes experience this everyday – we at Temple Emanu-El do not. Please donate Kroger, Publix, Wal-Mart, & Target gift cards in denominations of $10 or more to help the families of the Interfaith Outreach Home. The Interfaith Outreach Home is a facility that helps homeless families get back on their feet during their year long program. The cards will help buy groceries, cleaning supplies, school supplies, and many other necessary household items.
