Shalom Baby Program

Be the First to Greet the Future of Atlanta’s Jewish Community.  Shalom Baby is looking for volunteers who speak with a smile, love our community, and love babies. Temple Emanu-El along with The Jewish Federation of Greater Atlanta, the Marcus Jewish Community Center of Atlanta, and Jewish community organizations have teamed up to launch a new program, Shalom Baby.
This project will extend a hand of friendship to young Jewish families who have recently experienced the birth or adoption of a child. Volunteers will deliver a beautiful gift bag to the new family also passing along wisdom and community resources. All volunteers will attend a brief training and may choose the number and locations of visits. For more information, contact Jessica Dickson, Young Family Programming Specialist for the MJCCA and Shalom Baby Project Coordinator at Jessica.Dickson@atlantajcc.org or 678.812.4173.

Focus Groups

Celebrating the past and looking towards the future…

As Temple Emanu-El celebrates its 30th birthday, this is the perfect opportunity to reflect upon where we have been and where we will go into the future.  We invite you to participate in one of the many focus groups being conducted at Temple Emanu-El.

Help us discover:
  • how we are strongest as a congregation
  • ways that we can strengthen our community
  • how to effectively provide interesting programs and activities
  • how to best allocate our resources
  • our ritual behaviors and standards

Your input is vital and enables us to continue to shape the congregation so that we all have a voice in our strategic planning process.

All we need now is YOU.

Please share your thoughts and ideas with us at one our many convenient focus group meetings.  Contact Beverly Brown at bbrown@temple-emanuel.net or 770-395-1340 x255 to sign up or for more information.
